Right now, our Database team is hunting a top-notch MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) with genuine customer focus and an appetite for innovation.

As the successful applicant your role will have you working closely with other DBAs and stakeholders from all over the business. You will use your experience to maintain our MySQL Infrastructure and provide assistance to the Development teams to deliver reliable and high quality applications.

What you’ll do:

• Ensure operational stability of our MySQL infrastructure

• Collaborate with other teams/departments to support project requirements

• Promote MySQL Development Best practices to the Software Development Teams

• Fault ownership and resolution

• Update and maintain documentation for operational systems

• Other duties as required

What you’ll need:

• Commercial experience in a MySQL Database Administration Role

• Confident and adept in configuring and maintaining Linux Operating Systems

• Sound understanding of MySQL High Availability Technologies

• Ability to communicate effectively across the business

• Willingness to learn and a ‘can do’ attitude

It won’t hurt if you have:

• A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent

• Experience in the IT and Telco industry

• Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server and/or IBM DB2

• Windows Server Administration skills

• Exposure to TIBCO Software
