Network Engineering ManageriiNet is Australia's second largest DSL Internet Service Provider (ISP) and the leading challenger in the telecommunications market. Right now we're looking for a Network Engineering Manager to join our Network Services team. What you'll do: This outstanding head office based role calls for a passionate leader of both people and process and will see you responsible for leading the direction and formulation of the technical architecture of our Network Services department. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to; Lead a team of Network Engineers in the Design and Deployment of Network Infrastructure. While designing technical solutions with your team is important, a large part of your role will also be mentoring and coaching staff to improve themselves and ultimately the business Manage the evaluation of existing network architecture to determine inefficiencies as well as potential enhancements. Scope, design and when required conduct the deployment of network architecture Liaise with vendors to satisfy business requirements. Manage communication with internal teams as well as vendors in order to exchange information and provide documentation regarding technical scope. Coach, develop and mentor team members to ensure our next crop of iiNet stars! What you'll need: Well-built communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills. A strong technical background and a proven minimum of 7 years experience as a Network Architect or Senior Network Engineer in a Telco or large ISP. In iiNet's dynamic environment, successful demonstration of change orientation is desirable. Demonstrated experience in mentoring / coaching staff Demonstrated report writing and presentation skills Project Management skills, resource prioritisation
Must be willing to have a good time, and provide assistance to junior employees. This role will ideally suit someone looking to develop their stakeholder management & IT leadership career now that they have established their hands-on technical expertise.
